welcome to my blog! was the world better when dial-up was a thing? not in my opinion, but rosy retrospection is pervasive, so figured i'd cherry pick my favorite things from the past and combine them with the narrative of my present.
over a decade ago, before the infamous Attention Is All You Need paper, some folks decided to play around with computer vision and run a neural network backwards to peek into how they work, often referred to as deep dreaming. this resulted in a really fun way to understand how machines visualize - and are able to generate - things they were trained to classify. the backgrounds of this website are deep dreams of kuzco interpreted through bicycles.
